Grading

Gradings are used to measure your progress through the syllabus. These gradings take place every three months. Each student will have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and show that they are ready to move on to the next stage.

The grades are denoted by a coloured belt. A beginner would wear a white belt and at their first grading, and should they pass, they would be granted a red belt.

The path to the coveted black belt begins with 10th Kyu. The kyu's count down to 1st kyu, this is the last grade before black belt 1st Dan.
